Louis A. Voto, Jr.

Louis A. Voto, Jr., 60, of North Vine Street, New Castle, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at his home in New Castle. He was born June 9, 1954 in New Castle, a son of the late Louis A. Voto, Sr. and Jean (DiMasi) Voto. His mother survives in Sarasota, FL. Mr. Voto worked at New Castle Rolling Mills for 30 years and then at Flowline in the shipping department for 5 years. He enjoyed playing Morra and softball. He was a member of the Duke's Club, Sons of Italy and the St. Margaret Club. Mr. Voto also was the number one trumpet for the New Castle High School Band and played Taps at many Veterans funerals.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Louis A. Voto, III, Juliann Holmes and her husband J-Me, and Tara Voto all of New Castle, two sisters, Mary Jane Voto-Tennant of Clearwater, FL and Jodi Walsh of Sarasota, FL, nine grandchildren, and his former wife, Carol Ludovici Stone.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 4 PM to 5 PM.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Nero will be officiating.
