Cathy L. Smock

Cathy L. Smock, 55, of Taylor St., New Castle, died Thursday evening, April 30, 2009 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born June 18, 1953 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Clifford and Charlotte (Emery) Roberts. She married William H. Smock on September 1, 1972, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Smock was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, gardening, doing needle work and plastic canvas. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, three sons, Gregory J. Smock, Sr. and his wife Krystyn of New Castle, PA, Jason A. Smock and Michael A. Smock of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Heather R. Allen and her husband Harry of New Castle, PA, three brothers, Edward Roberts of Sharon, PA, Bruce Roberts of Bradenton, FL, and Robert Mikoloff of New Castle, PA, six sisters, Dinah Spinner of Missouri, Sheila Shaffer of Tampa, FL, Pam Emery of New Castle, PA, Robin Wordman of New Castle, PA, Tammy Good of Tennessee, and Cammy Yescovich of Monaca, PA, and five grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 11 am to 12 noon.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will be officiating.
