Russell S. Black, 73, of North Walnut Street, New Castle, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 in New Castle. He was born May 14, 1943 in New Castle, a son of the late Warren and Martha (Evans) Black. Mr. Black was a self-employed contractor for over 50 years. He enjoyed going to auctions and the flea market and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his fiancé, Sharon McLaren, six children, Kathryn Silvester of New Castle, Joseph Warren Black of New Castle, Robert Gramsky of New Castle, Melissa Black of New Castle, Tabitha Johns of Ellwood City, and Tiffany Black of New Castle, one brother, Robert Black of New Castle, two sisters, Judith Graham and Clara Penwell, both of New Castle, twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Russell Black, five brothers, James, Samuel, Walter, Warren and Howard Black, and three sisters, Hazel Williams, Mary Ryhal, and Loretta Clements.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 12 Noon to 1 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
