Sylvester A. Peluso

Sylvester A. Peluso, 96, of Hickory Township, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born April 19, 1914 in New Castle, a son of the late Ralph and Maria (Magliery) Peluso. He was married to Margaret A. (Thomas) Peluso for 72 years, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Peluso was a foreman at Johnson Bronze retiring after over 30 years. He enjoyed investing in the stock market and gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Eugene Peluso, and Ron Peluso and his wife Karen of New Castle, and two grandchildren, Richard and Geoffrey Peluso both of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Patsy, and Michael Peluso, and two sisters, Jennie Sabelli, and Christine Fiello.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 20, 2010 at 9:30 am at St. Vitus Church. Father Sean Francis of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00 am. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
