Andreà 'Andy; DiCarlo

Andreà ‘Andy’ DiCarlo, 81, of West North Street, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless. He was born in Santa Ninfa, Italy, on November, 30, 1943, the son of the late Antonino and Michelina (Tramonte) DiCarlo. Andy was married to the late Rosa (Frasto) DiCarlo, who died June 25, 1997. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vincent de Paul Church. He was a welder, working for City Welding and Cobra, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Son’s of Italy, and enjoyed playing bocce, soccer, and vegetable gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony N. DiCarlo and his wife Lee McCurdy of New Castle, and Andrew J. DiCarlo of Lawrenceville, PA, two grandchildren, Andrea DiCarlo and Oztyn DiCarlo, one great-grandchildren, Giovanni DiCarlo, and two brothers, Joe Giaramita and Vincenzo DiCarlo.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by six brothers, Saverio DiCarlo, Dominico Pietro DiCarlo, Biaggio DiCarlo, Vittoria DiCarlo, Benito DiCarlo, and Michele DiCarlo, and two sisters, Josephine Giaramita and Caterina DiCarlo.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 5, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Litegury outside of Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Deacon John Carran will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
