Charles J. Ridgley

Charles J. Ridgley, 81, of Wittenburg Way, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars, PA. He was born in New Castle, the son of the late Herbert and Anna (Anderson) Ridgley. Charles was married to the late Marguerite ‘Margi’ (Micaletti) Ridgley, who died April 11, 2021. Mr. Ridgley worked as a foreman for Universal Rundell, and then New Castle Refractories where he retired from after many of years. Charles was an umpire for 20 years for local baseball, he was also a die-hard Red Sox fan. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by three children, Eric C. Ridgley and his wife Jennifer of Wexford, PA, Alyssa A. Bucci and her husband Todd of Moon Township, PA, and Marc J. Ridgley and his wife Theresa of Baltimore, MD, and four grandchildren, Gianna Bucci, Harper Ridgley, Genevieve Ridgley, and Nolan Ridgley.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Carol Boak.

Private services will be celebrated at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
