David L. Boice, Sr.

David L. Boice, Sr., 62, of N. Ray Street, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 9, 1963, a son of David A. Boice, Sr., and his wife Mary, and the late Patricia (Vislay) Boice. David married Nancy E. (Eckhardt) Boice on August 21, 1982, she survives at home. Mr. Boice was self-employed working for Dave-Do-All in New Castle for 25 years. He was a drummer in a band called Last Chance for a number of years and was a member of Mars and Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, storm chasing, and woodworking.

In addition to his father and wife, he was also survived by three children, Michael A. Boice, Shawn Boice and his wife Ashlee, and Greg J. Boice and his fiancé Jennifer Bartley, eleven grandchildren, one brother, Albert Boice, one sister, Donna Singson, and his mother-in-law, Mary Eckhardt.

In addition to mother, he as also preceded in death by one son, David L. Boice, Jr., and one grandson, Elijah Boice.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1 PM to 3 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
