Obituary

Dorothy L. Sperdute, 84, of Kildoo Road, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her residence in New Castle. She was born on September 21, 1941, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Germanski) Stram. She was married to the late Alveraldo R. Sperdute, who died February 26, 2019. Mrs. Sperdute was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a homemaker and member of Holy Spirit Parish. Dorothy operated Sperdute Farm Market for many years. She loved cooking, baking, and sewing, and Mrs. Sperdute was a former CCD teacher. Above all she loved her family.

She is survived by two Sons, Steven Sperdute and his wife Susan and David Sperdute and his wife Nicole all of New Castle, one brother Theodore ‘Ted’ Stram, one sister Hazel Kulchawik, four grandchildren, Michael Sperdute (Kasey), Jessica Sperdute, Daniel Sperdute and fiancé Adriana Romano, Emily Williams (Jeff), and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Sperdute and Jacob Sperdute.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the William F. & Roger M DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel, Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM, Father Aaron Kriss will officiate. Burial will beat St. Lucy Cemetery.
