George H. Martin

George H. Martin, 75, of E. Wallace Avenue, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at his residence in New Castle. He was born on January 27, 1950, in New Castle, the son of the late Ralph and Achsah (McCollums) Martin. George married Norma L. (Hill) Martin on January 24, 2004, she survives at home. Mr. Martin worked for Ace Auto Wreaking as a manager for 40 years, and then worked for Penn Dot as a temporary employee for 5 years. He was a member of KP Club. He enjoyed antique furniture and cars and refurbishing, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three step-children, Reni Terracio and her husband Jason, Toni Prejsnar and her husband Dave, and Lyn Pasquarello and her husband Michael all of New Castle, three sisters, Peggy Neighbors, Tina Price, and Dora Jane Martin, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Martin, Elmo Martin, and Randy Martin.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
