George M. Nader

George M. Nader, 85, of New Castle, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at The Grove at New Castle. He was born on January 4, 1941, in New Castle, PA, a son of the late George and Margaret (Kovac) Nader. He was married to the late Shirley C. (Palladino) Nader, who died April 17, 2026. George worked for B & O Railroad and Conrail Railroad working as an engineer, yard conductor, and brakeman. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He played the guitar and banjo and sang; he also played in several local bands. George enjoyed model trains and airplanes, was an avid Pirates fan, and enjoyed going to birthday parties and cooking out.

He is survived by three daughters, Paula Hook and her husband John, Beth Gardner and her husband Joseph, and Tammy Flory, twelve grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Fraley.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
