Obituary

Gerald J. Senchak, Sr., 81, of Center Avenue, West Pittsburg, died Thursday, July 2, 2026 at AHN Hospital, Wexford, PA. He was born in New Castle on March 11, 1945 a son of the late Andrew and Carmella (Arket) Senchak. He married Regina M. (Winter) Senchak on June 12, 1965, she survives in West Pittsburg. Mr. Senchak worked in maintenance at Babcock and Wilcox, he was then a bridge inspector for Penn Dot, after Penn Dot he was a self-employed electrician and then he retired from PF Environmental. Mr. Senchak enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family and dogs, Josie and Cooper. Above all he loved watching his grandsons play baseball all over the United States and visiting his great granddaughter in Texas.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Alicia M. DeRosa and husband Michael and Gerald J. ‘GJ’ Senchak II and wife Lori, four grandsons, Gerald J. ‘GJ’ Senchak III, Zachary T. Senchak, Nicholas J. DeRosa, and Matthew A. ‘Beans’ Senchak, and one great granddaughter, Amaya Rose.

He is also preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Senchak, Daniel ‘Shorty’ Senchak, Andrew ‘Bear’ Senchak and Anthony Senchak.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 7, 2026, 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus Church. A funeral procession will leave at 10:00 AM. Father Ben Barr will officiate.
