Jeffrey D. Flak, 59, formerly of Almira Avenue, died Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. He was born on September 20, 1966, in New Castle, a son of the late Gordy and Marcyne (Biddle) Flak. He worked for Flak Home Improvement as a painter for a number of years, and as a truck driver for Swift Trucking for 5 years. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and fishing and enjoyed listening to AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd. 

He is survived by four children, David J. Rouser and his wife April, Christopher G. Flak and his fiancé Bridgett Gambill, Danielle M. Flak and her spouse Mike Swietzer, and Brittany N. Flak, five grandchildren, two brothers, Michael Flak and Donald Nelson, one sister, Suzanne Aeschbacher, a number of nieces and nephews, and his former spouse, Nicole Rouser.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Flak, and one sister, Christine Flak.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. A funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial contributions can be made directly to the funeral home.
