Jon Richards, 79, of Humphrey Road, Slippery Rock, PA, died Sunday, October 18, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on May 24, 1947, in New Castle, PA, a son of the late James and Daisey Richards. Jon married Anna Mae (Mackey) Crane Richards on January 17, 1992, she survives at home. Jon was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He worked as a laborer and a machine operator for Rockwell International retiring after 13 years. He loved watching TV, going to dinner, and his dogs, Collene and April.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Rick, Zeke, and Chuck Richards, and one sister, Dolly Burns.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, October 22, 2026, following the visitation at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Kail will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
