Joseph R. Hernandez

Joseph R. Hernandez, 40, died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Youngstown, OH, on June 19, 1985, a son of the late Robert Schlosser and Tammy Jo (Price) Kobak, his mother survives in New Castle. Joey enjoyed fishing, art and music, and loved animals. He was a sweet, kind-hearted person, who was always willing to help others. Above all, Joey loved his children.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by two children, Kayden Kerr and Miracle Kelly, two brothers, Justin Price and Nick Ross, six sisters, Jennifer Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez, Jamie Hernandez, Julia Kobak, Sydney Karns, and Katie Korhan, and a number of nieces and nephews.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
