Larry J. Huffman, Sr.

Larry J. Huffman, Sr., 78, of Canary Lane, in Edinburg, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at The Grove in New Castle. He was born in Corry, PA, on March 2, 1948, a son of the late Cecil and Vera (Purdy) Huffman. Larry married Martha E. (Phillips) Huffman, on August 5, 1965, she survives at home. Mr. Huffman worked for Jefferson Poultry as a meat cutter and truck driver, retiring after 40 years. Larry played the guitar and harmonica and built bird houses. He also enjoyed watching animals in nature, collecting models and attending classic car and truck shows. Above all, he loved playing with his great-grandchildren, and had a deep love for God, his family, and his country.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Bonnie L. Webb of New Castle, Marjorie E. Seelbaugh and her husband Jason of Pulaski, and Larry J. Huffman, Jr., of Edinburg, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Walter Huffman, and two sisters, Linda Pentz and Marjorie Hoover.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Sharon Patrick, and one sister, Vera Cotton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lawrence County Human Society, 628 Pearson Mill Road, New Castle, PA 16101.
