Linda M. Strayer

Linda M. Strayer, 68, of Bartram Avenue, died Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her residence in New Castle, PA. She was born in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Samuel and Audrey Jean (Bartelak) Boyer. Linda was married to the late George A. Strayer, Sr., who died September 15, 2018. She worked in housekeeping at Haven Convalescent Home. Mrs. Strayer enjoyed watching tv, making crafts, baking and cooking, and above all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother.
She is survived by four children, Samuel E. Strayer and his wife Nicole, George A. Strayer, Belinda M. Mills and her husband Joseph, and Kenneth J. Strayer and his wife Amy all of New Castle, twelve grandchildren, and one sister, Audrey Kelly of New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, George A. Strayer, Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Major Kevin Brenna will officiate.
