Londa L. Pounds, 75, of W. North Street, died Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born on October 4, 1949, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Gerald and Jean (Pearce) Stanley. Londa worked as a nurses’ aid at Golden Hill Nursing Home and Hillview Manor Nursing Home for over 30 years. She enjoyed Bingo.
She is survived by two children, Tammy L. Murphy and Brian L. Murphy both of New Castle, five grandchildren, Billy Degitz, Matthew Degitz, Haley Degitz, Carley Degitz, and Brianna Murphy, and two great-grandsons, Billy III and Brycen.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
