Louis N. DePorzio, Jr.

Louis N. DePorzio Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona, surrounded by family. Born on December 15, 1943, in New Castle, PA, Louis lived a life grounded in dedication to his family and hard work. He was known for his enduring commitment to his children and grandchildren. Those who knew him best will remember his perseverance, his wit, and the way he showed care through action rather than words.

Louis was a dedicated entrepreneur who built his businesses through determination and hard work. He owned and operated River City Products, as well as Lear Inc. and Lear West Inc., where he was known as an innovator in the oil and gas industry. A proud member of Operating Engineers Local 66, he finished first in his class, a testament to his skill, discipline, and commitment to excellence - qualities he carried throughout his life.

He is survived by Carole DePorzio, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage and family life; his children, Gregory DePorzio of New Castle, PA (Toni), Jeffrey DePorzio of Gilbert, AZ, Brian DePorzio of Queen Creek, AZ (Nicole), Jennifer DePorzio of Gilbert, AZ (Jeffrey Elsasser); as well as seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis DePorzio Sr. and Julia (Mastroddi) DePorzio, as well as his brothers Richard DePorzio and Ronald DePorzio.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers, medical teams, and hospice staff who provided compassionate care and comfort during his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
