Louise M. Widdowfield

Louise M. Widdowfield, 87, of W. Pittsburg Road, died Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Avalon Place in New Castle. She was born on April 3, 1938, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Albert and Nellie (Cubellis) DeLisio. Louise was married to the late Mr. Frederick B. Widdowfield, who died August 14, 2014. Mrs. Widdowfield was a secretary for St. Francis Hospital, retiring after 20 years. Her most cherished times were those spent with her family, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the piano, having family gatherings, and making others laugh. She had a gift for writing and reading witty and personalized poems for many friends to help them celebrate special occasions.
She is survived by three children, Elaine Gordon and her husband David of Greensburg, Judy Ryan of New Castle, and Jeff Widdowfield and his fiancé Sherrie Troff of New Castle, seven grandchildren, Jacob Gordon, Travis Gordon, Randy Ryan, Taylor Ryan, Matthew Ryan, Brenden Widdowfield, and Angelo John (A.J.) Widdowfield, one brother, Michael DeLisio of Maryville, TN, and one sister, Patricia Macklin of Columbiana, OH.
Private services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
