Madeline K. Ickes

Madeline K. Ickes, 78, of Court Street, died Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born on July 20, 1947, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Paul and Angeline (Pallerino) Cubbal. Madeline married William K. Ickes, on May 1, 1976, he survives at home. She worked for Shenango Pottery and Universal Rundell. Mrs. Ickes enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains, fishing, and camping. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved shopping.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one son, Sam Saado of Farrell, PA, two grandchildren, Devin Byers and Tiara Saado, two brothers, Paul Cubbal and Michael Cubbal, and three sisters, Beverly Barns, Debbie D’Ambrosia, and Jacqueline Doerfler.

Private services will be held at the William F. DeCarbo & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
