Margaret L. Yhelka, 68, of Sycamore Street, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Hospice of the Valley in Boardman, OH. She was born in Ellwood City, PA, on February 20, 1958, a daughter of the late John and Edna (McClearn) Brown. She married John E. Yhelka on November 14, 1982, he survives at home. She enjoyed gardening and camping, and her favorite animal was pigs. She loved raising children and being a foster mother to many.

In addition to her husband, she was also survived by two daughters, Shawna L. Yhelka and Sabrina K. Yhelka both of New Castle, two brothers, Aubrey and Sam Brown, and two sisters, Diana Lyons and Gloria Bollinger. Margaret raised many other children and grandchildren, including her granddaughter, Brooklyn Bailey.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, John, James, Henry, and Edward Brown, and three sisters, Sara Brown, Carol George, and Patricia Brown.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, from 1 PM to 2 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Monday, June 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
