Mary E. Rae

Mary E. Rae, 90, of Morris Street, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. She was born February 15, 1927 in Summerville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Charles and Elli (Strausser) Funk. She was married to the late George Ed Rae who died September 7, 2013. Mrs. Rae worked at Westmoreland Glass for 6 years and she enjoyed reading and listening to music. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Rae of Topeka, KS, and Melody Birckbichler of New Castle, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Gene Funk, and two sisters, Stella Barkefelt, and Betty Ross. Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, September 19, 2017 from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Rev. Shawn Homan of Light Ministries Church will be officiating.
