`Michael L Newman

Michael L. Newman, 98, of E. Garfield Avenue, died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at his residence in New Castle. He was born on May 10, 1928, in Parker, South Dakota, a son of the late Michael L. and Nettie (Garner) Newman. Mr. Newman was a driver for a limousine service in San Fransico, CA. He was a handyman and enjoyed building with his hands. Mr. Newman was an avid football fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Fransico 49ers. He also enjoyed working out and watching what he ate, he was very disciplined with his health.

He is survived by three children, Michael R. Newman, Denise A. Hendricks, and Dennis L. Newman, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenneth and Roy Newman.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Nancy L. (Horton) Newman, two brothers, Harold and Harvy Newman, and one sister, Annetta Diehl.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
