March 25, 1940 – October 21, 2026
Michel T. Mansour, 86, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born on March 25, 1940, in Marmarita, Syria, Michel was the son of the late Toofik and Affifi (Faris) Mansour. On September 9, 1965, he married Elaine E. (Abraham) Mansour, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. She survives him in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Michel was a hardworking, determined, and remarkably talented man who took great pride in his work. He began his career as a truck driver for JJ Dean before becoming the owner and operator of Mansour’s Auto and Heavy Equipment Repair in Croton, Pennsylvania.
Known for his extraordinary mechanical abilities, Michel had a rare gift for fixing what others could not. His ingenuity, resourcefulness, and ability to repair machinery without the need for new parts earned him the admiration and respect of those who knew him.
Beyond his many talents, Michel’s greatest pride was his family. A man of strong values, deep traditions, and unwavering determination, he devoted much of his life to providing for those he loved. He enjoyed bringing family together, entertaining, sharing stories, and celebrating the culture and traditions of his Syrian heritage.
Michel was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a foundation of strength and a bridge to opportunity for his family. Through his courage, generosity, and determination, he helped pave the way for family members to come to the United States and establish new lives in America. His efforts created opportunities for generations to come, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond his own lifetime.
Michel will be remembered for his strength of character, remarkable abilities, generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on his family and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his wife, Elaine, Michel is survived by his four children: Michael T. Mansour; Stephanie M. Shamsi and her husband, Moon; Dr. Jason A. Mansour and his wife, Natali; and Dana M. Mansour. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Maddox Mansour, Cameron Mansour, and Grace Mansour; two brothers, Essa Mansour and Abdul Mansour; and two sisters, Mary Saad and Souad Mansour.
In addition to his parents, Michel was preceded in death by his brother, Fouad Mansour, and two sisters, Edma Manief and Najla Bishara.
