The only girl with four brothers, she grew up on the east side with an abundance of family and friends. In 1958 she married her wonderful husband Samuel Ciccone who died in a car accident in October of 1960. As she continued to work, she pursued her education and got her B.S. in Nursing from Youngstown State University (Summa Cum Laude) and continued her education at Westminster College for her Master’s degree in Education. She later married her beloved husband Robert Kelley and spent many years with their families both in New Castle and Houston, Texas. She was always actively involved with her church, St. Elias, and loved spending time with her church family.
