Richard E. Keppel

Richard E. Keppel, 69, of N. Croton Avenue, died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mr. Keppel was born in Allentown, PA, on February 11, 1955, the son of the late Alfred and Marie (Klucsarits) Keppel. He worked for various companies as a truck driver, retiring after a number of years. Mr. Keppel was a member of Coplay, PA Sports, and coached baseball and basketball. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports fan, especially Notre Dame and New York Mets.

He is survived by one son, Nathaniel J. Keppel of New Castle, three brothers, Alfred Keppel, Jr., Robert Keppel, and Steve Keppel, and one sister, Tina Keppel.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Keppel.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
