Ruby B. Molnar

Ruby B. Molnar, 93, of Creek Road in Sandy Lake, PA, died Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Ritchie County, WV, on July 2, 1933, she is the daughter of the late Minnie Redmon. She was married to the late Joseph Molnar, Jr., who died September 11, 2003. Mrs. Molnar worked in bookkeeping for Joseph’s Supermarket, Sparkle Market, and a number of Giant Eagle franchises retiring after 68 years. She loved her job and all the people she worked with. Ruby enjoyed reading and sharing books with others. She loved being with her family and was very generous and kind.

She is survived by one son, Joseph M. Molnar and his wife Janet of Sandy Lake, PA, one niece, Elizabeth, one nephew, Jack, and two great nephews, Russell and Steve.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Riggs, one sister, Ruth Lawlis, and one niece, Linda.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM following the visitation. Pastor Chuck Gauroy will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the New Castle City Rescue Mission.
