Wayne A. Cross, 75, of New Castle, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his residence. He was born in New Castle, on August 3, 1950, a son of the late Albert and Bertha (Hogue) Cross. He married Deborah L. (Cook) Cross, on November 21, 1992, she survives at home. Wayne worked for Rockwell International as a spring plant machine operator for 20 years. He enjoyed going to car shows and cruises, eating French fries, the outdoors, and doing yard work.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joshua and Kevin Cross of Florida, four grandchildren, one step-son, Michael DiMuccio and his wife Angela and their two daughters, Isabella and Emilee of Myrtle Beach, SC, two nieces, Katie and Maggie Cook, one nephew, Randy Hogue and his wife Angela, and great-nephew, John Anthony ‘JA’ Quahliero.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Doris M. Hogue and her husband Tom, and his father and mother-in-law, Joseph Cook Sr. and Delores ‘Dee’ Cook.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Monday, April 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
